The 'Good' Politician

You shall become patriotic unto yourself that you shall plan to murder, brutalize and suppress the same people whom you are crucifying yourself for. For they shall become bitter, and ungrateful and see no hope in your actions of being a MESSIAH.

"Next the devil took JESUS to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory." I will give it all to you, " he said, " if you will kneel and worship me." This was the predicament I was currently in. On one knee and ready to go on both knees to receive the power to rule a small part of my country. Was I this desperate for power? Or was I desperate to serve the people and be crucified on an unholy cross? Selling my soul to the Angel of Darkness for power.

The desperate me began, "You are already here. Go down on both knees for this power. You can not outperform the other candidates on that ballot paper unless you bow down on both knees to this spirit that decides who rules and who does not. If this spirit could give all the kingdoms of the world what about that small provincial seat you desire? It will happen overnight, I tell you. What you shall give up to gain for yourself is just a drop in the ocean compared to what you shall receive. POWER." Desperation was kicking in. It kicked the knee that was not down yet for a full bow. I was here after all wasn't I?

Conscience put itself in the conversation, "To lose your soul and gain the world. Of what value is it? Let the ballot box decide not parallel powers. If you lose there is always the next run. You try till you make it happen. Have faith in yourself. Your level of desperation or need for power begs the question. Is the power for you or the people? If it were for the latter we would not be here. Will we? Get up and leave. The power you are about to receive will make you a powerful puppet at the loss of your conscience and self-pride. You will have all the power, all the wealth you can amass and everything else that comes with that but do you believe when you are a puppet of this spirit you will enjoy it? Do you think those who have this power seek to have control of it? They thought they would serve their purpose but serve the purpose of their source of power. You will become like this very source of power."

Desperation then knocked some sense into me, "Become a good politician. Are you willing to let your people continue to suffer from economic and social hardships when you can end it all here? Besides you having this wealth and power you also empower those who are not. Where is the patriotism and love for your people in you? Tell me, what will make you happier? Seeing your people progress whilst you have abundant wealth or seeing your people and yourself wallow in poverty? That is the sacrifice that you will have to make. At least you will be an empowered puppet, than being what you are now. Are you willing to stand the embarrassment of failing politically? Not only will you fail politically but you will fail yourself and the people who see hope in you. You might not be the most popular and well-versed political candidate but going on your knees now before this spirit will make you just like it. POWERFUL. Isn't it what we want? Your political and social rivals are ahead of you because they have been working with spirits that are under the ONE before you but you have an upper hand now for you are before the ONE."

Conscience looked at me in pity, " A 'good' politician? A 'good' politician? This desperation that you have now will torment you when you have the power you seek. You will have this power that will consume you from the inside when you fail to please those whom you want to crucify yourself for. You are failing to have faith in yourself so you are to become what you will despise the most. You shall lose your conscience and yourself, then become that 'good' politician who will cling to power to keep themselves afloat. You shall become patriotic unto yourself that you shall plan to murder, brutalize and suppress the very same people whom you are crucifying yourself for. For when they become bitter, and ungrateful and see no hope in your actions of being a Messiah. Yet you paid the ultimate price to become the one. Then you shall come to realize 'yourself' crucifixion was not worth it. If Jesus Christ could not please those whom he crucified himself for, who are the same people whom he wanted to die for then killed him. Then what about you? Does your desperation ever tell you that side of yourself of what you could become? A Messiah to your people today and now, then a murderer that they will plan to either plot against or desert from tomorrow."

Desperation stared at me with the burning truth of life, that glared from its eyes, "A mansion built on the hill with acres of land surrounding it, a new car for each day, your family shall be left on sound footing when you depart to the afterlife. Just like Jesus Christ became crucified on the cross, he gained glory for it. You shall be like him but your people should continue suffering in a better place than they are in now so that you maintain your relevance."

Conscience took its final stand and uttered its final thoughts, "Are you to do this for the betterment of 'your' people or yourself? Can your conscience stand the wailing of 'your' people at your cause? Can you withstand your wailing for your soul and 'your' people at the same time? Will you find peace with yourself after selling yourself for political gains that you might never enjoy whilst they are in your hands? I will let you drop the knee of conscience to what is before you but be aware that when you drop the knee of conscience you have dropped conscience too."

What took over? A sound conscience or the highest level of desperation? An option for self-perseverance or anticipation for wild greed? To be the people's suffering puppet champion or to be with the people? Just look at your own political and economic environment then you will understand whether it was conscience or desperation that took over.
